This is a 1956 Buick Special
This is not a car I would normally rebuild, but this car does have a lot of history. This car was ordered new by my wife's Grandfather. Before it arrived at the dealership, he was involved in an accident and passed away. My Father In-Law wanted a pickup, but decided to take the Buick since his father had ordered it. He drove it for awhile and then sold it to his mother. She only drove it down the street to her sister's house. They would take the sister's car since it had A/C. She sold the car back to my Father In-Law who drove a short time longer then parked it in the barn. The car only had 37K miles on it. Fast forward about 30 years and my Father In-Law gave this vehicle us.
We picked it up on Oct. 16th, 2004.
I plan on putting a new stub frame in to update the handling and braking.
